IPIP · 100-item Big-Five Factor Markers
Big Five Inventory
This test measures five broad personality traits. It uses the 100-item Big-Five Factor Markers from the International Personality Item Pool (IPIP), a public-domain item set by Lewis Goldberg.
Describe yourself as you generally are now, not as you wish to be. Describe yourself compared with other people you know of the same sex and roughly your age.
Each trait is a range. Neither end is better. Your answers stay in this browser only and are not sent anywhere.
Keyboard: press 1 to 5 to answer.

SLOAN code
MBTI-style estimate
Lowercase letters mark a middle-range score, where you lean only slightly to that side. The SLOAN code is the standard five-letter shorthand for a Big Five profile. The MBTI-style letters are estimated from published links between the Big Five and the MBTI. They are not an MBTI result, which only the official licensed test provides. Emotional Stability has no MBTI equivalent.
